AnnieCannons is an incredible organization. The importance of their work cannot be stressed enough and the world is a much better place because of them.
Their current site was lacking cohesion in telling the mission and story of the organization. AnnieCannons needed a way to get their message across not only for future students but for donors and volunteers as well.
I approached AnnieCannons and spoke with Jessica their co-founder to discover more about the organization. After our discussions and investigation into their current site, I came up with a plan to help solve the problems they were experiencing. We decided that a custom WordPress theme was the best approach. This way I could custom tailor a unique design specifically for their organization, while at the same time allowing them to take advantage of the robust WordPress plugin ecosystem.
We would like to think that people don’t ‘judge a book by its cover’, however online, everyone does. What else do they have to judge by? Having a site that was well designed, thoughtful, and engaging was incredibly important to make a great first impression to their visitors, especially donors, partners and volunteers.
AnnieCannons like most non-profit organizations depend upon donations in order to fulfill their mission, so making it quick and easy to get their message across to potential donors is vital to their success. The site also needed to make it simple for donors to make donations.
Volunteers are another essential aspect of their organization. Having a simple means for potential volunteers to get in touch with them allows for more exposure and signups.
Jessica, Laura, Isaac and the team at AnnieCannons were an honor to work with. There is nothing more rewarding than partnering with people to make the world we live in a better place for all of us.
